
A salon visit should be an inclusive and uplifting experience for everyone, but unfortunately, that’s not always the case. Both stylists and clients are often misgendered in the salon, which can make people feel disrespected and left out.
In a recent article from Vish, their team made a wonderfully compelling argument in favor of gender-neutral pricing. Author Milena Morris points out the shift our industry has taken to replace the “Men’s Cut” with “Short Hair Cut” and stop the penalization of women by charging more for their hair cuts simply based on gender versus the complexity of the task.
